Spacelog:   Star Wars... from a certain point of view.

August 12th, 2001:
Attack of the Jar Jar Creators*

The giant letters scroll up the screen as a magical fanfare plays. The audience cheers. Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones. This legacy...

Wait, hold it right there! Attack of the Clones?!: My reaction to the special announcement in my email inbox seemed to reflect what many Star Wars fans shouted at their computer screens. And I thought The Phantom Menace was a bad title. Now I see that TPM yet holds the sense of adventure and intrique of the original masterpieces. However, although I myself do not *ahem* care for the new title, I have absolutely nothing against those in favor of it. In fact, in the interest of kindness, I would like to help with the third movie's moniker. If Lucas desires a title of the same caliber, that of a teenage horror flick, I have the following suggestions:

1. Uncle Owen's Revenge
2. Return of the Gungans
3. The Gonk Droids Invade

So Mr. Lucas, if you're listening, please realize that although everyone knows they shouldn't judge a book by its cover, they do anyway. Thank you!
